Frequently Asked Questions

Do I stay with my child?

Not at the weekend and holiday club classes at my home (Hawthorn Road). Space is limited, but the small groups encourage a lovely nurturing atmosphere between the Little Chefs. We don’t want in to spoil the flow of this and you get a few hours free! Win win!

However the parent/toddler groups – Big Chef Little Chef- are designed for you to cook alongside your child.

What do I need to provide?

We provide all ingredients and equipment. We do ask that the children bring a named water bottle for ease and hygiene. We also request that you send them with assorted sized reusable tubs to help us be a bit more eco friendly.

Although many classes are allergen free (gluten, nuts, dairy, eggs) we cannot guarantee a totally allergen free atmosphere. Therefore, anyone suffering from an allergy attends AlwaysTimeToBake classes at their own risk. Dietary restrictions for religious reasons are catered for.

Can my child attend the advanced classes?

These classes are for slightly older, more experienced Little Chefs. Usually from age 8 years and up, we attempt more complicated recipes, learn knife skills and cook on the hob. Therefore the children need to be mature and sensible enough to be trusted with these advanced tasks. These classes can count towards their Duke of Edinburgh Award.
